NATIONAL COMPETITIONS


IDTA Theatre Awards 2014

A scholarship offered by the International Dance Teachers Association. Held every year, from over 3000 candidates, a select few dancers are nominated in their Exams to compete for a bursary and the title of IDTA Theatre Awards winner.

An american style dance competition held for the first time in Manchester on 10th-12th May 2013.

All England Regional Finals

Dancers will have to qualify at a nominated festival with a specific mark to be able to take part in the regional finals of the All England Dance Festival. Congratulations to Cerys Jones who has been nominated for her ballet, character and song and dance  solos and to Samantha Gilbride for qualifying her Greek solo for the 2013 finals.

The North West regional finals will be held on 28th May - 2nd June 2013.

TDCI Championships

As well as having regional championships at various nominated festival the TDCI hold their own British and English Championships which always attract some of the best of british dance talent. To take part you will require a TDCI membership.

Mardi Gras Challenge -  November 2014

This biennial competition for a group performance of a minimum of 22 dancers in two age groups Junior and Senior. Around 30 groups in each category compete at the prestigious Sadlers Wells Theatre in London.
Stalder Academy Junior Company are proud to have placed 3rd in 2008 and to have won the Producers Price in 2010.
We will once again be competing this year and are hoping once again for success.
